Cost of infant formula

Tell retailers to support the families of formula fed infants

The cost of infant formula has soared over the last year – with the price of some brands increasing by more than 25% – and families are struggling to meet the nutritional needs of the most vulnerable members of our society. While, as a society, we work towards broader, long-term solutions for families experiencing food poverty, we are asking UK retailers to take two straightforward steps to better support customers with formula fed infants:

  • Make Public Health information on infant formula available at the point of sale
  • Promote Healthy Start and Best Start Foods schemes

You can tell retailers to support families with formula-fed babies during the cost of living crisis using the form below.

This campaign is supported by healthcare professionals and charities including Mumsnet, the NCT, Pregnant Then Screwed, BPAS, Feed, and Little Villages.
