In March 2026, the House of Lords debated and voted on abortion law in England and Wales. They were following on from the breakthrough decision by MPs in June 2025 to protect vulnerable women by changing abortion law.
When the law passes, no more women will be arrested, prosecuted, or jailed for ending their own pregnancy.
